News from this years (2009) Fun Run

A disappointing turn out for this years entry list, the weather couldn’t have been better so were we bitten by the credit crunch.?

The winner completed the course 6 seconds faster than last year and congratulations to those who had just completed a 10 mile run elsewhere then came to Penryn to do another 5K.

We raised a sum of around £580 for the Children’s Hospice SW to well done to all the runners and sponsors and thanks for you support.

 2008 Fun Run

Congratulations to the 57 Runners who entered and finished the main 5K Fun run. This beats the 1st New York Marathon in 1970 when only 55 finished the course. See our results page for all race results and times.

The weather as usual did its worst with hail and snow showers but this didn’t beat the runners and first over the line was Calem Thomas who did it in 18 Minutes and 46 Seconds

Feedback from the finishers indicates that whilst the course was demanding you generally all liked the course and would do it again next year. So next years date is provisionally Sunday 5 April.

The majority of you also thought the course was well marked and supervised.

With your support and help we raised the sum of £1000 for the Childrens Hospice SW. Congratulations to you all.
